Auction Sale Cancelled After Booking: Review the Transport Instructions
If a Copart or IAA purchase is cancelled or disputed after transport has been arranged, inform FleetX promptly with the current evidence. A change in the sale does not automatically stop a driver, cancel an ocean booking or transfer custody of a vehicle already collected.

Establish the current physical stage
Provide the vehicle reference, sale notice, request time and last confirmed location. Ask FleetX which instructions have already been issued and which movements have actually occurred. Keep a cancellation request separate from the provider’s accepted response. If collection is still pending, ask who can confirm a hold through the appropriate operational channel.
Request a custody and cost decision
For an already collected unit, identify who is authorized to direct storage, return or another handoff. Ask for the applicable provider change terms and costs already incurred, without assuming the auction’s refund includes transport. Do not direct a driver to a new address based only on an informal seller message; reconcile authority and receiving acceptance first.
Close every dependent instruction
Record separate outcomes for ground dispatch, receiving, ocean space and document processing. Save accepted amendments and any unresolved charge questions with the purchase file. Hypothetical example: a sale cancellation is confirmed, but the receiving yard has already accepted the vehicle; that file still needs a custody decision and an accepted onward instruction.
