Changing an Auction Vehicle Destination: Review the Complete Route

Changing the receiving address or country can affect more than the final delivery. Tell FleetX before redirecting a Copart or IAA purchase so the ground and ocean instructions can be reviewed together against the current transport status.

Find the shipment’s current stage

Ask whether collection is unassigned, instructed, underway or completed, and whether an ocean booking is already accepted. Provide the proposed destination and reason for the change. Do not give a driver a new address independently while another party continues preparing documents and receiving arrangements for the original route.

Review cost and eligibility again

Request the provider’s actual revision or cancellation terms and a replacement scope. If the receiving country changes, obtain a fresh destination eligibility and clearance assessment from the appropriate contact. A vehicle selected for one market should not be assumed suitable for another because the ground carrier can reach a different port.

Replace instructions only after agreement

Keep written approval of the revised endpoint and charges. Ask FleetX which carrier, receiving and ocean instructions will change, and confirm who notifies the buyer’s representative and receiver. Mark earlier directions as superseded so nobody dispatches or clears the vehicle using the previous destination.
