Vehicle Shipment Consignee Details: Reconcile the Receiving Identity

The buyer, auction account holder and ocean consignee may be different parties. Give FleetX an accurate receiving plan and ask the applicable carrier and arrival contact which identity details must appear in the shipment file.

Identify the intended recipient

Confirm the legal or personal name, address and contact details requested for the proposed shipment. Ask the arrival specialist whether that party can act as intended for this vehicle import. Do not invent a company name or copy a representative’s details merely because they helped buy the vehicle.

Compare the shipment records

Review spelling, references and vehicle identity across purchase records and the proposed ocean instructions. Ask which differences are permitted and which require issuer correction or further evidence. Keep sensitive identity documents in the approved private channel, not in public notes or listing messages.

Confirm changes before document issue

Have the responsible recipient review the final instruction before documents are issued. If details change later, ask FleetX and the issuing provider for the applicable amendment process, cost and effect on release. A new receiver contact is not automatically a valid change of consignee or import authority.

Illustrative review of three different parties

Hypothetical file: Buyer A owns the purchase, Account B arranged transport and Receiver C is proposed for destination collection. These are placeholders. They may have different roles, but their authority must be resolved through the applicable shipping instructions.

Resolve spelling, contact and authority discrepancies before the instruction is accepted. Ask FleetX who must review a later change and which document depends on it. Matching names on a spreadsheet is not proof of ownership transfer, import permission or the right to receive cargo.
