Nigeria Auction Vehicle Collection: Coordinate Release and Local Delivery
For a Nigeria-bound Copart or IAA purchase, start arrival coordination before the ocean leg finishes. FleetX helps buyers plan transport toward the final destination; the accepted scope should identify which arrival tasks belong to your clearance contact and receiver.

Assign the arrival decisions
Name the party checking import documentation, the party obtaining shipment release and the person receiving the vehicle. Ask your bank or clearance contact which process applies to this purchase and what is still missing. Nigeria Customs publishes import-procedure guidance, but a generic list cannot confirm that your specific file is complete.
Wait for collection permission
Obtain the applicable release and receiving instructions before assigning local collection. Confirm site access, loading arrangements and the actual condition of the vehicle. If readiness slips, ask the responsible arrival party for current storage exposure and next action. An ocean arrival notification alone is not a completed clearance or pickup instruction.
Close the delivery evidence
Match the VIN at the handoff and record visible condition, keys and accompanying items. Let the final receiver know whether unloading equipment or workshop recovery is needed. Ask FleetX which delivery evidence forms part of the agreed transport service, and keep separate receipts for arrival arrangements handled by your own local providers.
