Modified Auction Vehicles: Check Clearance Before Loading

Lowered suspension, lift changes or body additions can alter how an auction vehicle is handled. Give FleetX factual measurements and photographs before ground and ocean planning; there is no single clearance rule that establishes compatibility with every loading arrangement.

Record the lowest and widest points

Ask a qualified observer to record safely accessible dimensions, ground clearance and protruding parts, with units and photographs. Identify damaged components separately from intentional modifications. Never place yourself under an unstable vehicle to complete a quote sheet; mark inaccessible measurements unknown and arrange an appropriate assessment.

Have the handling method reviewed

Provide the observations to FleetX and the proposed handler before assignment. Ask which equipment, approach or additional assessment is required and whether the site allows it. Avoid promising that ramps or a forklift will solve the problem; suitability depends on the vehicle, operator and receiving arrangement.

Reconcile ground and ocean acceptance

Keep any reviewed conditions in both pickup and ocean files. If a low bumper or wide accessory affects the onward method, resolve that before the vehicle reaches a preparation site. Confirm whether approved removal is needed and who may perform it; do not authorize changes to the buyer’s vehicle through an informal driver instruction.
