Final Delivery of an Auction Vehicle: Prepare the Receiver

An auction purchase may arrive at a home, workshop or dealer yard after ground transport, ocean shipping or both. Give FleetX the real final destination and receiving constraints before the route is agreed so the last handoff can be planned.

Check address access

Tell the coordinator about narrow roads, low entrances, restricted hours or lack of space for a transport vehicle. Identify an alternate receiving point if the final address is unsuitable and agree who organizes onward movement. Do not send the driver to a different location informally without confirming the transport instruction and cost implications.

Prepare for the vehicle as it is

A damaged auction vehicle may need recovery equipment instead of a receiver simply driving it away. Share the latest rolling, steering and braking information with the receiving party. Confirm unloading responsibility and any workshop appointment. Leave inspection and roadworthiness decisions to an appropriately qualified person rather than the delivery driver’s arrival alone.

Record receipt before closing the file

Match identity, note accessible condition and list missing items on the appropriate delivery record. Retain photographs and the receiver’s confirmation with the shipment reference. If there is a concern, follow the actual provider’s notice procedure promptly; do not assume the delivery signature replaces an inspection or that every later issue is transport damage.

Receiving contingencies before final dispatch

These hypothetical receiving problems show what to clarify, not approved FleetX exception procedures. Confirm the actual receiver, authority and loading arrangement before the final ground leg is instructed.

Ask FleetX to coordinate the affected transport scope and get the responsible provider’s accepted revision. Review waiting, storage or redirection charges from the applicable agreement. A buyer’s proposed alternative address becomes usable only after authority and receiving acceptance are resolved.
