Personal Items in Auction Vehicles: Obtain Acceptance Before Shipping
Do not use an auction vehicle as unconfirmed luggage space. Tell FleetX what remains inside before ground and ocean planning, and ask for the proposed operator’s current requirements. Permission for the vehicle does not automatically cover its contents.

Inventory before making assumptions
Ask the auction or authorized representative what accessible items are inside and whether removal can be arranged. Separate belongings from installed equipment and spare parts. Record unknown contents as unresolved, not empty. Avoid moving unidentified materials into another vehicle or package without the owner’s permission and the handler’s acceptance.
Use the applicable operator instruction
Wallenius Wilhelmsen publishes used-unit guidance covering contents; it is an operator-specific reference, not permission for every FleetX shipment. Ask which current instruction governs the proposed vehicle and method. Obtain an explicit decision about items before booking, including any removal, packing or declaration required.
Keep protection and arrival checks separate
Ask whether any accepted contents fall within the actual transport protection and destination import arrangements. Do not assume the vehicle’s declared value includes belongings or that customs treatment is the same. If contents cannot be accepted, assign removal and confirm completion before the vehicle enters the next ground or ocean handoff.
