Overseas Auction Buyers: Coordinate Transport Without Visiting the Yard
If you buy from Copart or IAA while living overseas, several people may act on your behalf. FleetX helps plan ground and ocean movement to the intended destination. A clear contact and authorization map makes remote coordination more reliable than a chain of forwarded messages.

Identify each representative’s role
List who owns the auction account, who approves spending, who supplies pickup authority and who provides the import file. Tell FleetX which person can change the destination or equipment instruction. Keep account credentials separate from shipment coordination; share only the documents and permissions required for the assigned task.
Require evidence at distant handoffs
Ask for confirmation of release readiness, collection and receipt at the next location, each tied to the VIN or lot. Request condition records at physical transfers rather than interpreting an account screenshot as proof of collection. Agree how urgent exceptions are communicated across time zones and who can answer when you are unavailable.
Prepare the receiving side early
Give the local receiver the vehicle identity and proposed arrival sequence before ocean departure. Ask that party to verify applicable import preparation and final receiving arrangements. FleetX’s quote should define the transport endpoint; do not leave destination responsibility undecided simply because an origin representative can arrange auction collection.
