Missing Auction Vehicle Title: Plan Transport Around Document Readiness
Vehicle release and ownership-document availability may not happen together. Before asking FleetX to connect a Copart or IAA purchase to ocean shipping, find out who holds the document and what the proposed export actually requires.

Distinguish pending from unavailable
Ask the seller or purchasing representative whether the document is awaiting issue, signature, mailing or correction. Obtain a case reference and the next update expected, not an assumed delivery date. Check that the buyer named in the record and the vehicle identity are correct before treating the missing file as only a postal delay.
Decide where the vehicle can wait
If the auction can release the vehicle, ask whether an accepted ground destination can hold it while the document issue is resolved. Compare storage and extra handling against the auction’s current terms. Get confirmation from the receiving party before movement; export acceptance should be checked independently by the appropriate document specialist.
Keep the ocean decision conditional
Ask FleetX to identify which proposed ocean steps depend on document readiness. Do not describe an unconfirmed title as already received or use a substitute without acceptance from the responsible authority. When the required record arrives, verify it against the shipment file and request a refreshed connection plan.
