Copart Gate PIN: Prepare the Transporter Handoff
A collection authorization needs to reach the transporter assigned to your vehicle. For Copart purchases, prepare that handoff before dispatch. FleetX can plan the ground move, while you or your purchasing representative completes the auction’s account instructions.

Send authorization to the right recipient
Copart’s published collection workflow uses transporter instructions and a Gate PIN. Check the current process for your country and account; Canada has its own published PIN guidance. Confirm the assigned transporter’s details with the coordinator before sending credentials. Share pickup information through the agreed channel, rather than putting it in public listing comments.
Check the appointment and release together
Ask the transporter to confirm receipt and the planned collection slot. Separately verify with the auction that the vehicle is releasable. A PIN alone does not resolve an unpaid balance, incorrect vehicle reference or new hold. Record which person will respond if the driver cannot match the authorization to the purchased lot.
Keep the next destination consistent
The release file should point to the same VIN and agreed ground destination as the transport order. If the purchase is moving overseas, ask FleetX to confirm where the vehicle will be received before ocean preparation. Notify the coordinator if the authorized transporter or collection plan changes; do not assume an earlier appointment transfers automatically.
