Workshop Before Export: Plan an Intermediate Auction Vehicle Delivery

Some auction buyers need an assessment or authorized work before an overseas move. Ask FleetX to assess the ground journey through a workshop separately from ocean preparation. A workshop stop needs its own receiving agreement and a clear decision about when the vehicle is ready to continue.

Confirm the workshop will receive the vehicle

Provide the workshop with damage, loading condition and estimated collection sequence. Ask about access, unloading, storage and who approves work. Give FleetX the confirmed address and contact. A repair estimate does not itself confirm that the workshop can receive a transporter or hold a vehicle awaiting parts.

Keep assessment and transport decisions distinct

Let qualified personnel assess the mechanical work; ask the proposed ocean handler about transport acceptance using the updated condition. Do not promise that a repair will make a vehicle import-eligible or acceptable to every carrier. Document what changed and what remains unconfirmed before ordering the next ground move.

Price both handoffs

Ask FleetX for the workshop-bound ground leg and the proposed onward leg, with their respective readiness assumptions. Add workshop storage and loading charges to the buyer’s own budget if excluded. Reconfirm ocean timing after work is completed rather than relying on the sailing considered before the workshop assessment.
