Verify a Vehicle Shipping Provider Before Paying

Evaluate the organization, the service agreement and the payment instructions separately. A polished website or enthusiastic review is not enough to establish who will handle your vehicle or which responsibilities they accept.

Identify the contracting party

Request the legal business name, working contact details and written service scope. Verify relevant credentials through their issuing authority when the work requires them. Ask which parties perform pickup, ocean transport and destination services rather than assuming the brand on the quote operates every leg.

Read the boundaries of the quote

Confirm inclusions, exclusions, currency, validity, cancellation arrangements and the procedure for approving extra charges. Ask how loss or damage is reported and what insurance evidence is available. A broad claim such as ‘fully insured’ needs a specific scope and applicable policy information.

Independently confirm changed payment details

If payment instructions change, verify them through an established contact channel before sending funds. Keep the invoice, authorization and confirmation with the shipment record. Pressure to pay before scope or identity questions are answered is a reason to pause and investigate, not evidence of a special shipping opportunity.
